Elana
Stein
joined CLS in the fall of 2006 and provides a broad range of experience in
marketing, strategic communications and media relations. She currently works with
a variety of trade associations, leading corporate companies and international
clients at CLS, such as: the Egyptian Press and Information Office, the
Computer and Communications Industry Association, the Personal Watercraft
Industry Association and Verizon.
Prior to
joining CLS, Elana worked in the marketing department of Rayo, the Latino
imprint of HarperCollins Publishers in New
York City. While there, she planned and coordinated
events for Rayo authors and became a critical component in creating sales
presentations. Additionally, she played an integral role in the development and
execution of marketing plans for each title.
Elana developed expertise in budget management, publicity, event and
meeting planning and group dynamics.
In 2002-2003 Elana worked as an editorial
assistant for a freelance writer in the Washington,
DC area. While there, she
researched, edited and wrote articles for publication in The Washington Post,
Parenting.com, MSNBC and Pharmacy Digest.
Elana holds a bachelor’s degree in English and
Literature from the University of Maryland and studied abroad in Israel. She is proficient in
Hebrew.
