Emily Copeland
Senior Associate
Emily Copeland joined CLS in August of 2006. Since then, she has worked on a wide variety of corporate communications and public affairs accounts, providing strategic communications assistance for both domestic and international clients.
Her past and present clients include the American Dental Association, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, the Coalition for Patent Fairness, the Better World Campaign, and Pfizer. She has also worked on a number of the firm’s crisis communications and litigation accounts.
Prior to joining CLS, Emily worked in the communications department of a small, national non-profit organization, where she handled media outreach and event planning, in addition to internal membership communications. She is currently a volunteer with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington and a member of the United Nations Association - National Capital Area chapter.
A native of North Carolina, Emily is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism, with a concentration in Public Relations. She also studied French and Ethnology at the Université Paul-Valéry in Montpellier, France.
