Laura Dossa
Managing Associate

Laura Dossa joined CLS in the summer of 2007 and brings expertise in strategic communications, media relations, crisis management and legislative strategy.

At CLS, Ms. Dossa provides counsel and communications support to public affairs, international and corporate clients, including the Cruise Lines International Association, the Comité Interprofessionel du Vin de Champagne (CIVC), and Pfizer, Inc. She previously contributed to the development and implementation of internal and external communications campaigns for the Ron Brown Scholar Program and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.

Prior to CLS, Ms. Dossa worked at O’Keeffe & Company, a public relations and marketing firm, and Blanc & Otus, a San Francisco-based technology agency, where she managed third party outreach, media relations and event planning for a number of high-tech clients.

Ms. Dossa previously worked for Congressman Mike Thompson (D-CA) as Press Secretary/ Legislative Assistant. While serving as his spokeswoman, she managed media outreach for national and international print and broadcast outlets. Additionally, her work negotiating with national trade organizations and high-tech companies was integral in the introduction of the first legislation on electronic waste and computer recycling.

Ms. Dossa has volunteered on several political campaigns on both the state and federal level, and has done freelance writing for English grammar textbooks.

A native of Massachusetts, Ms. Dossa has a master’s degree in Public Communication from American University, where she worked directly with the Dean of the School of Communication in social advertising research, and a bachelor’s degree in History from The College of the Holy Cross. She participated in the Holy Cross Washington Semester Program as an intern with the Department of State.
